Bakersfield. This is the front of a Laundry service. This was the Inspiration to start all these night shots. I saw this one time as I drove by in the Dark. Worked out pretty good I think.

The green is coming from the light and Is seen by the camera, but not the naked Eye.

Seedlings

These have been a royal pain to grow. They are so fragile. They are Chinese snow peas and I shall avoid them from now on. Lesson Learned

A mound Juniper

This is a picture of a mound juniper that usually just grows to about a height of a few feet, But I trained it to climb this fence. It grows over the top of the fence and is now starting to cascade down the other side.

Green and fast

I'm not sure I have ever seen a green hummingbird before, but here ya go. This dude, like most hummingbirds, was on a mission, and didn't want to hang around for any posing, Thank you very much.

I have no idea what a wamba is, but this is a green one. More digital enhancement and massaging.

Banana Plant at night

This was taken back in January. The 17th to be exact. This was from about the first time I had used My new Fuji dslr at Night. The purple spot is from the lens refracting the light that was right above the plant. The banana plant is used quite frequently around here in landscaping, but dose not produce any fruit.

But yet, some 180 miles to the west, I have seen an actual Banana Farm, where the temperatures are much more mild, because of the Pacific ocean.

This was taken near the sizzler at the Icehouse off of Chester Ave. In Bakersfield, CA. I liked the curve of the doorway and the pattern of the brick along with the cool green Ivy going crazy on the wall. An early morning hand held shot.
