Banks Roses

My neighbors plant is blooming like crazy right now. I just wish they smelled as good as they looked. They have no fragrance at all. I like the angle of this shot. I was quite pleased with it.

Traffic under Gray

Another shot from alongside Beach Park in Bakersfield, California. And yes, the road sign on the freeway says Buck Owens Blvd. Buck was born here and did a lot for this town.

Horseshoe Pits

Yes, these are official Bakersfield California Horseshoe Pitts. Very Rare Indeed. Taken at Beach Park Yesterday after somebody didn't show up that was supposed to. But thats all right, I'm not going to mention any names.

A black and white tree

This is from Downtown Bakersfield, CA. I have this thing for what I consider nice looking trees. So many are unfortunately butchered in the pruning process by yahoos that do not have a clue what they are doing.

This is one of those pictures, in my eyes, where the image just doesn't capture what it was I was seeing. This truly is an amazing looking tree in person. I think it is because it just doesn't do the scale and size of the tree justice.

These store face Chester Ave on their front side. This would be a shot of their back side. There is actually an alley right by the doors there.

Nice Flames ...

This is the front end of the truck from yesterday with out the filter treatment. I thought it was a beauty.
If the day hadn't been so cold and overcast, I might have noticed the parked fire truck in the background and had gotten a few shots of it as well.

3 Palms

It just dawned on me that my dad spent a lot of money at a liquor store with this same name. These were shot at the Bluffs in Bakersfield, Ca with my Fuji. It was one of the first days I actually used it in the field.

Downtown Alleyway

I'm still using some of the work I did with my old camera, just cause I have do do something with it. You should see all the images that don't get posted. Luckily, that number has dwindled as my camera work has gotten better, but it is still remarkable to me all the images that never see the light of day, even with post production work.
