Subtle

Just a touch of pink against the blue - subtle. This is after the storm was departing I believe. We got some much neede rain from it, which always helps. The trees were blowing back and forth like crazy, thus they didn't stay in foucus. The clouds were moving as well. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Blue sky, clouds, and Trees

Taken at the same park as the Artisans fair. It was a gorgeous day.

Ok Guys, who's car is next?

I keep watching as the number of these tiny house finches keep slowly growing. I very much prefer their sweet sound to the caws from the crows that use to be around. Not to mention they are much more photographic, but they do tend to make me work for their images. They are quick little suckers. I was really surprised to catch this many gathered together, They usually are singular or maybe in pairs.

Sunflower day 3

The last in this series. I think I like this one the best. Again, the sky, to me, is so striking and again this is untouched other than cropped just a little.

I don't know if you have ever seen one of these plants up close. This must have been 8 or 9 feet tall and the stalk is probably 2 inches thick. Pretty amazing plant.

Streaming Clouds

White streaks of cloud stream across a dark blue sky. The winds were blowing good that day up in the atmosphere.

A cloud

I can't help myself sometimes. They are large, white and you just don't see enough of them. At least I don't.

Attack of the pods

I hadn't ever seen this type of tree blooming before. The tree was very familiar to me, although I am not certain of the type ( I am leaning towards cottonwood). Anyway, I was surprised to see these Pods breaking open and the flowers beginning to bloom. Looks rather bizzare to me.

Tree

I liked the look of this tree against the blue and white sky.

Blue and white twice

There is the blue and white in the sky and the blue and white in the building. And what you have here is an honest to goodness relatively fresh image. I think it is only a couple of weeks old instead of two or three months.

Enjoy.

Pines during the golden hour

There are two times of day when in the outdoors the sun makes for very prime picture taking. An hour before the sun sets and an hour right after the sun rises. In Photographic terms, it is called the golden hour. These two Pines were shot in the late afternoon sun in the mountains.

White and Blue

I am having to utilize my archives again, still being gainfully unemployed. The photo ops just are as readily available as they were when I was working full time. Again, hoping this is just a very temporary situation.

A bugs View ...

Basically, I almost had my camera on this old railroad tie I found amongst a pile of junk and other railroad ties. I had no Idea what the shot was going to be of, except for a rough Idea. I liked the way it turned out.
